Tina Obem

Roberta is an artist born in Palermo in 1993, she studied graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo with the professor, artist Sandro Bracchitta, completing the three-year course in 2017, she completed her studies by doing a master's degree specialized in visual and spatial arts, engraving option, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, Belgium with the professors and artists Maria Pace completing the two-year course in 2019.

"I continued to live in Belgium where I found great creative stimuli. Already in my last year at the academy I had developed an interest in installation, working mainly with organic materials, using the vocabulary of engraving but without making the canonical and traditional use of printing techniques prevail".

Through aesthetic juxtapositions that are sometimes alienating and sometimes placid, in the work of the artist Sucato we can trace the need to make the natural and the artificial coexist, the meticulousness and the wait that distinguish the technique as well as a reflection on the trace. In Sucato's artistic research the material becomes the protagonist in itself since the study of its essence often turns out to be predominant. Here, discarded objects, waste, broken things, fruits in the process of maceration enter the installations, characterized by change conceived as an intrinsic element of existence.
